There are already a ton of Netflix series to look forward to in 2024, even though the year has barely begun. January began with some great shows like Good Grief and The Brothers Sun, but February promises even more episodes that are worth bingeing on and films that are not to be missed.
The same-titled book, which was previously adapted into an Academy Award–winning film starring Anne Hathaway, is the basis for the Netflix original limited series One Day. Until Bridgerton season 3 premieres later this year, the endearing title will undoubtedly tide us over. In terms of film, Gina Rodriguez, who starred in Jane the Virgin, and Tom Ellis, who starred in Lucifer, collaborated on the romantic comedy Players.
In addition to Netflix’s original shows, the streaming service is bringing back the entire run of the 2000s sitcom My Wife and Kids and the most current season of the popular comedy Young Sheldon. These additions round out the slate for February. Throughout the month, a ton of fantastic films will also be released. 1. One Day
One Day, a 14-episode romantic drama series on Netflix that follows the love journey of Emma (Ambika Mod) and Dexter (Leo Woodall) on the same day for many years, will premiere just in time for Valentine’s Day. The series will be available for streaming on February 8. Even if they have ups and downs, will they eventually come back to one another? If you’ve watched the movie or read David Nicholls’ book, you already know how it ends, but it will be intriguing to see if the limited series alters anything.
2. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar: The Last Airbender’s eagerly awaited live-action adaptation will finally debut on Netflix on February 22, 2024. It has been a long time coming. We follow Aang in his training to become a fire, water, earth, and air god in the eight-episode first season of the television show. Gordon Cormier, Elizabeth Yu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Ian Ousley, Kiawentiio, Dallas Liu, Ken Leung, and Daniel Dae Kim are the stars of Avatar.
3. Orion and the Dark
Are you trying to find a new family film to start the year off right? On February 2, DreamWorks Animation’s Orion and the Dark, the sweetest addition to your youngest Netflix watcher’s roster, will be released. The whole family, regardless of age, will love it. The movie is around a typical young child who struggles in private with anxiety and a nocturnal fear of the dark. But when the Dark leads him on a journey, he discovers that nighttime fears are unfounded. Join him on February 2nd to confront Orion’s anxieties!

4. Players
Lucifer is returning! All OK, sort of. The romantic comedy film Players, which stars Tom Ellis, the star of Lucifer, will be available on Netflix on February 14. Gina Rodriguez, who you may recognize from Jane the Virgin, Someone Great, and Spy Kids: Armageddon, will also be in the film. This romantic comedy may be Netflix’s first successful romantic comedy of the year, starring Damon Wayans Jr., Joel Courtney, Augustus Prew, Liza Koshy, Ego Nwodim, and Marin Hinkle with other stars. On Valentine’s Day, don’t miss it when it drops.

5. Madame Web
This is yet another eagerly awaited Sony release. Madame Webb is a spin-off of Spider-Man that centers on the titular mutant clairvoyant, played by none other than Dakota Johnson. After two postponements, the film’s worldwide premiere is set for February 14, 2024! Adam Scott, Emma Roberts, and Sydney Sweeney are also in the film.
6. Bob Marley: One Love
Celebrating the life and music of the legendary musician, Bob Marley: One Love explores how he impacted generations of people with a message of love and unity. For the first time, Bob Marley’s tale is available to us. A film with Kingsley Ben-Adir as Bob Marley and Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita is being produced on a large scale with the Marley family’s assistance. James Norton, Tosin Cole, Anthony Welsh, Umi Myers, Michael Gandolfini, and Nadine Marshall are also featured.
